| Bio: | --Chief Seattle Communication is the key to being able to coexist with our fellow humans. Without it, even the simplest tasks turn into an exercise in futility. I'm a chef/manager living in Pittsburgh but working in a Call Center run by a bunch of idiots... heh... I'm currently in a new relationship (since July) with an amazing man who owns a farm just north of here but works full time in Florida. So I have begun traveling to Florida once a month and he comes up here once or twice a month and so far we have been making this work... I can't say how nice it feels to have someone in my life like him... Even in the short amount of time we have known each other, I cannot possibly imagine not having him in my life and the very thought makes me very sad... So I am the happiest I have been in years and am looking forward to what lies ahead with this relationship. With this online forum, I try to communicate my thoughts, feelings and emotions the best that I can. Sometimes I am bitchy, sometimes I can be silly but most of the time I just am. Some people have been known to dislike my entries for being too long, too bitchy or just plain boring. Such is my life and I never ask for people to be interested in it. If you are... great... If not... well, that's fine too. The world is changing. People are so worried about getting to that next rung on the ladder that they have lost sight of what it takes to get there. There was a time when doing a job meant doing it to the best of your ability and doing it right every time, or at least making an effort to do so. In today's world, it seems that all anyone ever wants to do is reach higher trying to bypass all the work that comes with getting there and knocking down anyone and everyone who they may come in contact with on the way. Take the time to learn. Take what you have learned and teach it to others. Don't lose sight of all the wonderful opportunities and wide range of diverse individuals that pop up on your journey to the next rung of that ladder. Sometimes those opportunities and those people are more fulfilling than that final destination. I am a tolerant person, but will not tolerate gay bashing, hiding homophobia behind the Bible or any other hateful comments so don't even try it. There is a big difference between being tolerant of other's opinions and being tolerant of hate and in that, I am quite intolerant... | |
